The national library is located in a completely renovated, technically equipped, beautiful, modern building, which allows it to be competitive in the market of services in the cultural field.

The library space  is all about comfort, where everyone can find the most suitable for him place. The comfortable conditions in the library are created by a combination of many factors. The main goal of the library is to satisfy a full range of readers’ interests while using traditional and electronic library collections, provide comfortable conditions for individual and group work and givean opportunity to participate in mass events for all groups of users, including people with mobility disability, create a zone for group communication. In the design of the library the atypical for the library style“fusion” was used. The main principles of creating an interior in this style are the freedom to combine materials and colors, the combination of incongruous elements in a single space and avoidance of any stereotypes and norms.

In the National library of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug along with thegeneral, universal service, the following zones are organized

The entrance group. The functional task of this zone is representative, recreational, communicativeand informational. Here you can relax and chat, get acquainted with the information about the local community and the library, get help in finding the necessary materials. Equipped with wardrobes, lockers for storing personal belongings of library users and soft poufs.

The area of books and electronic media, traditional library services. In the reading zone there are 8 open automated workplaces for users, there are places for reading, viewing publications and listening to audio files, there is a book fund covering all the subjects. There are 8 book-readers for working with E-editions. Spatial solutions allow the reader to choose the form of the sitting place, lighting, style, degree of isolation of the place depending on the preferences.

A cafeteria with coffee and snack machines perfectly fits into the composition and acts as a special emphasis on the light "canvas" in the design.

Medialab is a creative laboratory for self-education and implementation of projects with modern equipment (a powerful computer, a 3D-scanner, a 3D-printer, a plotter).This lab is made for classes on the computer and working in graphic editors and special programs, on the basis of which a variety of cultural projects can be carried out.

Co-working center "Dial" is a visually isolated area, equipped with a multi-table and a Smart-screen for organizing trainings, watching presentations, holding negotiations and "brainstorming" with the ability to invite up to 250 people to view their records in real time.

The children's area. It’s purpose is to keep the child occupied for a short time while the adult receives library services. Equipped with specialized racks and shelves with children's literature, soft modules for games, children's furniture.

In the hall of the second floor there is a fund of fiction literature. There is thematic placement of editions, visitors can use convenient places for individual reading and a computer for having access to the electronic catalog or look at the exhibition showcases.

The youth zone is separated from other zones by decorative ledges and providesfor the possibility to organize master classes, group work and rest. It is also equipped with a podium-staircase with sockets for connecting your own electronic devices.

The conference hall with 48 seats is separated from the other areas by sound-absorbing partitions, with the possibility to transform the space. It can perform the functions of a lecture hall, dance floor, room for a “round table”, meetings offline or online. Equipped with video projection and sound equipment. There are 24 tablet computers for group work.

The Multizone is a reading room, a mini-lecture hall, a gallery, a room for presentations, master classes, trainings, group classes in yoga, a cinema club with watching movies on the ceiling and much more, it is up to your imagination. Equipped with the necessary furniture (including the mobile one), a cabinet for equipment and a video projector that allows you to broadcast the image both horizontally (on the wall) and on the ceiling.

Creating a library space that is also available for people with mobility disability isvery important to us. There are all the necessary conditions in the library: for example, for people using a wheelchair there is a stair lift.

There is enough distance between the racks to move on a wheelchair easily. Besides, it is possible to work at the computer on special, adjustable height tables.

There is also a visually impaired-reading machine that translates printed text into words. To work on a computer, visitors can use the Braille display translating the content into Braille, which can be read by “touch”.In the library, you can find more than 1,600 audiobooks and more than 150 books written in Braille.
